Earring Making 101

It takes more time to design a pair of earrings than make one, and you can save big bucks! Learn how to turn beads into stunning earrings to compliment your wardrobe and reflect your personal sense of style. Class fee $20 plus $10 kit fee for earwires & beads to make 2 pair of earrings.
WireWork 101

Give your jewelry a new edge with wirework. Expand basic skills as you learn how to make eye and paddle pins, jump rings, spirals, bead cages, coil beads, hammered wire and more in this fun class. Class fee $20 plus $5 kit fee.
Wool Scarf Dyeing & Felting

Hand-dyed wool scarves sell for $75 at nearby galleries. Make your own as you transform a simple "prefelt" of wool into a warm and wonderful wardrobe essential and explore the fundamentals of acid dyeing and felting. Class fee $15 plus $25 kit fee.
Polymer Clay Beads

Fun, funky and colorful, poly clay is one of art's most versatile mediums. Join Brenda Hughes as she shows you how to make checkerboard, swirl, and rope beads using a pasta maker. Beads are taken home to "cook." Class fee $15 plus cost of clay.
Needlefelting

Learn the essentials of needlefelting and how you can rescue knit garments with holes! So easy an 8 year old can do it, yet it yields amazingly beautiful results. Class fee $5 plus $18 kit fee, class without kit $10.
Zigzag Wire Rings

Make one for every finger! Join Brenda Hughes in this fun and easy class as she teaches you how to make two zigzag wire rings - one with a focal bead, the other with a wired bead sitting atop a spiral. Class fee $15 plus $3 kit fee.
Introduction to Knitting
Monday OR Friday evenings in Feb. - CALL!
Knitting isn't as complicated as you think! Join Carol Lawrence for this 4 week session as she teaches you to choose yarn and needles, cast on, knit, purl, and cast off. By the end of class you'll have a beautiful scarf you can wear or give as a gift. Class fee $40 plus cost of needles & yarn.
Free Drop In Classes
It only takes a few minutes.
For your convenience, we now offer FREE drop-in classes. As long as we're not teaching another class or we're not crazy-busy, you can come in and learn a simple technique.

It only takes us a minute or two to show you how, so these classes are FREE! The only thing you need to purchase is the beads and basic findings.
Private Party Classes
Looking for something unique to do?
We offer many of our classes as a party! If you have family in town, or would like to get together with friends and learn a new skill, consider booking a private party at Shenandoah Moon.
Private doesn't necessarily mean expensive - in fact, with five or more people, you actually save money. The cost for a party of four is the same as our regular class fee, and discounts increase as the group size goes up.
You can book a private party for any of our popular classes including earrings, necklaces/bracelets, wire wrapping, silk dyeing, or needlefelting. We only need 24 hours notice to do a private party. Just call the shop at 743-5810 or Susan at home at 743-2722.
